Crist burdened by budget cuts, taxes and insurance
As legislators meet today to slash $1.1 billion from the budget, Gov. Charlie Crist faces one of his toughest weeks in office: Property-insurance companies are demanding higher rates, so he has threatened legal action. A special-interest fight over car insurance forced him to order legislators to add it to their agenda. He put himself in the middle of a House and Senate feud over property taxes
